"The Calf Curve™ is the best calf raise block out there for full range of motion calf exercises."


Yes, calf blocks aren't complicated... DIYing takes a few bucks and about an hour (if that). But, some designs offer a better experience and more calf activation than others.

After trying 2x4s, 45 lb plates, square-style blocks, wedges & ramps, they all had issues in common, like limited range of motion and foot slippage during the stretch. We decided to DIY our own block using 2 pieces of wood, a 4" PVC pipe, and grip tape. The round design felt a lot better... until the PVC cracked during a heavy set. So we drew up what is now our Calf Curve™, tested and refined the prototype, drove a GMC AT4 truck across it to confirm it won't fail, filed the design patent, and are now proud to release it!

Key points:

✅ The 3.8" diameter curved design supports your foot arches while your calves are in a deficit stretch.
✅ The grip wrapped around it will keep your feet in their starting position throughout your sets.
✅ The curve also lets your toes 'angle downward' at the top of each rep for peak calf flexion.

Awesome, but needs rubber feet.

I was tempted to give it 4 stars, but that's not fair. I have a vinyl plank floor in my home gym and this thing slides like it's on ice. I reached out to U4C, and they are working on a solution, but don't have one yet. They did recommend Gorilla pads from Amazon. That solved the problem with it and my floor.

What separates this from a home made or any other calf block I'd be tempted to buy is that it's rounded. You can get a serious stretch without your foot slipping off. I could have made a normal looking squared block for $20, but I'm glad I bought this instead.

The build quality is outstanding. I can't imagine it ever getting damaged by anything. If the grip tape wears out in 10 years, you can get new grip tape for a few dollars.

Perfect (almost)

This is by far the best calf block out there. It's really well constructed. It looks to be waterjet/laser cut from single piece of 5mm thick steel. The dimensions are really well thought out. I can get a really deep stretch on my calves in the down position, which feels outstanding. The finish is flawless, and the edges aren't sharp, so I can use it with resistance bands without worrying about damaging the bands. I'm using it for Achilles rehab, but once that's over I'll use these with their U-Cups to do some serious calf work.

So why only 4 stars? Unfortunately the unit I received is a little out of level. So when I step/stand on it, it wobbles (not the most confidence inspiring when doing rehab work). Initially I thought it must be my floor, but the wobbling happens no matter where I place it on my floor. In the pictures I show where I ran a level across the feet and the middle foot has a gap, so it seems like a minor manufacturing defect. It's still a great product, and I may be able to tighten things up with a few layers of tape.

I look forward to what U4C has to offer in the future.

That said, sincere apologies for the wobble you're experiencing. That is indeed a manufacturer defect. It is meant to sit 'perfectly' flush on the floor no matter what type of surface. That one must have slipped through our quality checks prior to packaging in the rush of fulfilling pre-orders. We’ve already shared your feedback with our manufacturer and will be updating our QA process to prevent it in the future.

We will absolutely send you a [perfect] replacement as soon as we restock next week with a return shipping label for the defected original.
